Connection Status to Modbus Device
« on: November 11, 2020, 08:16:17 PM »
Is there a structure associated with a created device that can be used for connection status monitoring? For example, if I've created a Modbus TCP device is there a status indicator bit that tells me I have good comms with the device?

Not for clients, only servers. If I?m trying to get error rates, I just use the error bit from the instruction to drive an INC instruction.

We are beginning work shortly on a new Modbus device-centric scanner function that will have an associated structure and health status. It?ll be in 3.0 next year.
