PLC communication timed out
« on: May 05, 2015, 07:48:28 AM »
I'm new to this. I have an H2-ECOM100 and a EA7 HMI. The ECOM card has been set up and I've assigned an IP address. The ECOM can see the connection to the port (the STATUS, LINKGO, 100MBIG lights are on). How do I set up the panel?
Thanks

C-more is not Host's product. You'll probably get more response to this over ADC's forum.

1. Setup -> Panel Manager.  Pick your driver, in this case AutomationDirect ECOM Ethernet and put the ECOM IP address in the field provided.

2. Create a few objects on your screen and assign them to the device that is attached to the ECOM driver.  IF you just added a driver and did not delete the existing driver this will be "DEV002".

3. Send the Project to the Panel.  At this point you want to select Ethernet and click Browse and find your panel.  Then assign it an IP Address that is in the same subnet, but different from your ECOM IP Address.  Download the project and you should be up and running.

Then again...the ADC forum might just come over here. ;)
