Our plans are to have v5.1 shipping by the middle of March. We're technically still in a beta test cycle, but we don't expect any problems before the end of the beta cycle, so a final recompile the end of this week and it should be ready to go.
Since this is the first time we'll be using the product update notification system built into DirectSOFT v5, make sure the the notification option is not turned off. This system works just like Microsoft Updates process built into the operating system.
To check your settings, click the Start menu, at the top of the left column, you should see an entry called Progam Updates, select it and on the ensuing dialog click the Update Settings tab. By default, this utility checks for updates for the Installshield update Manager and DirectSOFT 5 - Programming, and it is set to check Weekly. Make sure the check for updates isn't turned off and you should get a notification when the v5.1 update is available for download.
If you don't have the Program Updates option on the Start menu, you can run the update service manually, the path is \Program Files\Common Files\InstallShield\UpdateService\ISUSPM.exe
