Link DL240 to DS32 on Win7 64-bit
« on: December 09, 2010, 12:47:09 AM »
I need help on linking Koyo DL240 to DS32 on an ASUS K42JC with Win7 64-bit OS.

I tried using link wizard but I get comm error with this message: Cannot access comm port. The port may not be present  or another  app may be using it". I used RJ12 from the DL D2-HPP hand held program.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi stickybeak, welcome to our forum.

This message, "Cannot access comm port. The port may not be present or another app may be using it" means exactly what it says; something else is using the PC's COM port you have selected. You must either select a different COM port or check to see if anything else is using it and stop that software.

Common things that utilize COM ports:
  • RSLogix
  • PDA Software (Palm Pilot, Pocket PC, etc.)
  • GPS Software
  • Digital Camera Software
  • IR (infrared) Drivers
  • Microsoft ActiveSync
  • Palm OS HotSync
