Getting and Setting register values with VB.net
« on: July 07, 2010, 03:14:09 PM »
I'm wondering if I need KEPWARE, DirectNet or some other server/client software to access DirectLogic CPU's registers. I'm thinking I do but I'm new at Direct Logic programming and need a little assistance.

You will need some type of communication server. PC-DSDATA available at http://www.automationdirect.com/adc/Shopping/Catalog/Software_Products/DSData_Server_(OPC_-a-_DDE)/DSData_Software and produced by the 'hosts' of this forum would be a good choice.

Oh, and I voted for the first choice, I thought the second too wordy.
An output is a PLC's way of getting its inputs to change.

I petition for the addition of a third choice:  "What(theheck)"
I retract my earlier statement that half of all politicians are crooks.  Half of all politicians are NOT crooks.  There.
