Do-More and EtherCAT?
« on: May 04, 2024, 12:43:52 PM »
Is it doable now, in the future? Looks like it could greatly simplify servo wiring. We?ve been using Clearpath servos and they have announced EtherCAT is coming soon. We just did a 7 axis pipe grooving machine which also has 3 vfds. Might have been a lot simpler to build and support.

It's in the roadmap.

New hardware or just firmware and software update when it happens?

Ethercat requires hardware. We'll do it as a module.
