D2-262/DirectSoft6 Counter/High Speed Counter

 Hello everyone.
 I am using a D2-262 CPU and a Red Lion ZCH0500 incremental encoder (quadrature) with an HMI. My question is about the counter: I can use an UP/DOWN COUNTER (UDC) to do what I need, but the encoder has 500 pulses per revolution and I am overwhelming my counter. It begins to miss some pulses at about 5 rpm. I need the resolution of the 500 pulses.
 My question is: must I use an H0 or H2-CTRIO2? These modules are expensive, I thought there might be a built-in Highspeed Counter.

Look at the D2-CTRINT

You might have been thinking of the BRX Do-more PLCs.  Many of them have built-in HSIO.

 I was actually thinking of the Panasonic FP-XH C60RD unit. It has a built-in highspeed counter. I decided to go with Automation Direct because of the controls I inherited and I wanted to keep everything the same. Oh well.

Look at the D2-CTRINT

 I will probably go with the H2-CTRIO2 because I have six quadrature encoders and I need to have a preset for each. The H2 can handle 2 quadrature encoders instead of just one and space is at a premium.

BTW, the D2-CTRINT is NOT supported with the D2-262.
