DmSim causes DmD to lock up

I've been testing a program in DmSimulator, and the last few days I've had it cause DmD 2.9.4 to freeze up to where I can't do much of anything in the program without bumping the Sim to STOP. Then I can resume using DmD. I do have quite a few ERR's (divide by zero, parameter out of range, etc), mostly due to uninitialized variables that are in the BRX and not my Sim program, but no hardware or software watchdog errors. Any ideas to what's causing the freeze up?

Are you doing a ton of status?  If you go crazy with status of Memory Views, Ladder Views, Data Views, lots of Code Blocks with Status turned ON in the Project Browser, Designer will govern the comm server request when the GUI starts to get slow.  Logging of Trend Views can slow down a PC if you are doing a ton of that at very high frequency.  That's not fool proof, but, like I said, only if you are bogging down the app like crazy.

If this is true, turn off some status or close some views.

If it gets better is STOP mode, that suggests PLC program code is slowing it down. Would be curious what the scan time goes to. Neither DmD nor the Sim share well. Depending on what you are running on (laptop, desktop, how much memory, how many cores, etc), they can suck up the CPU resources enough to cause issues.
