2.9.2 installer not replacing 2.9.1

I downloaded and ran the 2.9.2 install and rebooted.    I still have the 2.9.1.16 executable in the Designer2_9 directory.   The installer created a shortcut on the desktop but it just points to that 2.9.1 executable in the 2_9 directory.   If I run it and do check for updates it says I'm up to date.

We've seen this recently.  It's security/av stuff.

1. Disconnect yourself from the network and Internet and disable/turn off all antivirus
2. Right click on the Setup and Run As Administrator

We're guessing security is just getting tighter and tighter.  I get it.

I installed this morning on three computers without issue. I installed as administrator.

It's different for every PC/OS/IT settings/AV product/settings

Currently, on my development PC, I can install it w/o tweaking anything.  But I know some day, some update (to one or more items in the list above), I may be trying to figure out why my install did not work.

1. Run As Admin
and if that doesn't work
2. Disable AV (but get off the Network/Internet beforehand - it's amazing how many things are out there CONSTANTLY trying to hack into your PC, because it can)

Weird that 2.9.1 thinks it's up to date.  What is it checking for its own version?  Could it be a registry entry or something that might have been changed during a partial install of 2.9.2?

Haven't been in the shop yet to retry.  Will advise when I have been.

"Live Update" has not been updated yet, if that's what you mean by "2.9.1 thinks it's up to date."

Yes, when I run Help -> Check for Updates it says that software and firmware are up to date.

OK, Run as Administrator did the trick.    Not sure why I didn't think to try that, it's usually one of the first things I try when something won't install properly.
