Minor issues
« on: April 02, 2021, 02:03:46 PM »
The little status light in the upper corner of a math instruction does not behave as in other instructions. When a new tag name is typed the light will go red even if the tag name is a valid. Other instructions turn the light yellow on a new tag name and red if it is invalid.

I will often copy an existing math instruction and change tag names such as Dog1 To Dog2. If this is done in the result of a math instruction or any other instruction, the create tag name box will automictically give me the next available address in the same memory type. If this is done in the expression of a math instruction it will always give me the next available D memory location regardless of what type Dog1 was.

Lastly, I prefer the old create tag name box. It works faster for me. Hopefully you will bring this back as an option.

Thanks for taking time to listen and respond to the customer!

That is correct.  The MATH Expression parameter is actually a full text editor field, not a single element field like all the other instructions (except for the STRPRINT/EMAIL fully text editor script parameter).  Hence, it has a huge number of permutations and combinations of math functions, nicknames, element names, potential nicknames, parameter lists, operators, etc., so it cannot behave like a simple element field.

We can definitely add an option for resolving potential new nicknames.
