Will it work to feed a 2khz pwm signal into an analog input module without filtering?

If is a -3 module, it converts at about 1.1ms, so no. The -1 and -2 modules are considerably slower than that.

Depending on the voltage range of the PWM signal, a high speed input with a pair of timers will give you a near perfect duty cycle reading.
