Documentation Different when connecting
« on: January 20, 2021, 05:52:34 AM »
I have one of my Do-More (H2-DM1E) that every time I go online it states that offline/online doesn't match. The only difference it shows is documentation, but no matter how many times I save to disk, it still says different when I go online.
OKAY, it seems to be all the H2-DM1E's, An older BRX's does it, A newer BRX works correctly, maybe it's after I went to 2.8.1. Updated firmware to 2.8.3 didn't help. The only difference I can think of is that the newer BRX program was originally written with 2.8.1, where as the others were upgraded from 2.7.

In Designer 2.8, we added a new documentation record for Project Options (see File->Project Options).

Whenever you read a project from Disk with 2.8, if that project is missing that record, that new record type gets created.  Hence, your 2.7 project file on disk that is missing that record, so when it is read from disk, that new record is created, causing it to "change".

However, your PLC project does NOT have that new record type.  So when you save the PLC project to disk, it still does NOT have that record type.  So, the next time you read that file from disk, it creates the new record type, "changing" it yet again.

To "sync" up the two, you must write the 2.8 disk project to the PLC.  That way, BOTH will contain the new record type.
