It also doesn't necessarily imply cascading.   Some of the implementations that support it just allow one state to exit via multiple transitions (like Stage).   See below.  It's kind of orthodox that a single horizontal bus line is used for exclusive while the double is for parallel simultaneous threads.   This "exclusive with priority" one is a new one on me.

I retract my earlier statement that half of all politicians are crooks.  Half of all politicians are NOT crooks.  There.

Secure Modbus TCP or Modbus/TCP Security

Adds TLS support and is being supported by many drivers for SCADA & HMI Packages.

That's why going the route of making it a "language" that is both viewable and editable will make it be much more intuitive (vs trying to make it "view only" via "reverse generate" a SFC-like flow from any kind of stage Ladder code).

You are so right.   The Cutler labeled Deltas (and I assume Deltas to this day) had a weird idiosyncrasy where you could display in various forms, I think LD, SFC, and IL? maybe, but one of the views, LD I think, was the primary so all changes had to be made there, and I don't think they even automagically propagated to the other views, you had to manually update.   It was extremely weird and a total pain.   And Cutler US had one guy on tech support, so he wasn't always there, and he never learned to use the SFC, presumably because he didn't think anyone was going to want to use it, but they still made sure to include that the PLC had SFC in their advertisements!   ::)
