Do-more sd card isssue
« on: September 30, 2019, 11:51:04 AM »
I recently installed micro sd card in do-more plc to log temperatures for troubleshooting purposes. (logging 40 wx inputs once every 10 seconds) When I removed sd card 3 days later, it was very hot to touch. When I tried reading card on Pc, it wasn,t picked up by the computer so the card is kaput.  (Card reader worked well with a different card) My question is do I need a special sd card for the BRX plc? The one I used was 16g card that I paid $30 for at Staples.

Try a different SD card.  On a Raspberry Pi forum and a San Disk forum, similar issues pointed to a "damaged SD card".

Not sure how you troubleshoot one.  If a new card works fine (or you know you've had other cards work fine), you can probably get your money back on the damaged one.

Hot? Never heard of that, but that suggests something was internally shorted in the card.
