Is there a way to see what the network utilization on the ethernet and serial ports are?
For modern Ethernet networks, it's almost 0. You would be very hard pressed to stress it with PLC comm devices. You can monitor the number of packets sent and received through $EthPktsReceived and $EthPktsSent.
There is no byte counts of serial data maintained anywhere. Some of the protocols have transaction counters.
