Ladder needs to DO-More

Why does this not work? I desperately want this to work. Is this a rule that can be ignored? If not why do other PLCs accept this and compile? Is there a specific reason why Host doesn't allow me to Do-More? :'( ??? :'(

Sadly, no.  Our PLCs utilize a Boolean stack and currently is unable to resolve that type of rung.

For now, you will have to duplicate the C100 contact across 3 separate rungs.  Sorry.

Either of the two rungs below will give the desired result, though maybe not as easy to read.

We know what to do, but it isn't trivial to fix the ladder compiler and code generation. Controller side is simple though.

If not being able to put that on one rung is a big bother. You never done one shots with other PLC's. Do-more makes more sense to me that AB that will let you put Coils in the middle of a rung or back to back coils at that. Have found issue with AB logic while teaching school and the only fix was to move rungs around.

It isn't a bother at all I was just curious if Host chose not to do it for a reason. I was joking more or less and wasn't meant to be taken literally.I apologize if I offended anyone, it was not my intention.

LOL!

It's really neither. When the ladder compiler was written 2.5 centuries...er...decades ago, Koyo's controllers didn't have provision to execute the required logic. The required PUSH/POP is actually already in the controller now, but it takes some work in DmD code that hasn't been touched in *forever*, so there is some reluctance to do so. Every time it comes up we get shamed into talking about it, but just haven't had the courage to dive in.
