dialing a cell phone
« on: June 03, 2008, 04:55:20 AM »
I would like Directlogic 205, Type DL240 PLC to tell the modem to dial the cell phone when the machine faulted. This alerted the machinist to come back into work and fix the process.
Can somebody tell me how to do that or give me a sample.
Thanks a lot for help.

or maybe a simple relay triggered autodialer - like you would use in a security systems - I googled this one: http://www.firstdetection.com/united_security
Good design costs a lot. Bad design costs even more.

My first and current project involves an auto dialer as an alarm. I am just going to use an auto dialer, hooked up to a 120v 2amp relay, so i can hook it up to my digital plc. They are sold as a whole unit.
