New To Direct Soft
« on: June 07, 2016, 01:39:17 PM »
Hello,

I'm a new user of Direct Soft.  I have older AB experience so I not a complete noob with regards plc work but I'm finding this environment a bit of a steep learning curve.  I there a good selection of reading that can help with this.  Also, if there's a better category for a guy like me could someone direct me to it.

My current project is that I have end user files and project from an OEM of a system but can seem to get the project to load into the software.  Can anyone give me some guidance getting the project to load?

Thanks

(Note, I have DirectSOFT5) In your C:\DirectSOFT5\Help directory should be a software usage file. D5-User-Manual.PDF

That should help with the mechanics of running the software.

Get and read the specific CPU manual you are dealing with at AutomationDirect

At my site I have a bit of an introduction to standard DL CPUs. http://www.theplcguy.com/ABtoAD/Introduction.htm

An output is a PLC's way of getting its inputs to change.
