DS6 Stupid Question
« on: May 10, 2015, 09:12:54 PM »
Downloaded the DS100 (free) version of DS6 and right out of the box- a problem, the new program window asks for the family and type of PLC. I'm trying to program a DL105, the documentation for both the PLC and the software says it will work with a DL105 but that particular unit isn't offered in the "New Program" drop down list!
What gives?

'105' is the 'family (similar to '205' is the family for the DL240, DL250, DL260 etc). Look for 'DL130'
An output is a PLC's way of getting its inputs to change.

Your question is not stupid. I had the same problem when I first programmed a 105.
Just follow Bernie's instructions.
