DNET UDP issue with H0-ECOM100 and DL-05
« on: December 22, 2014, 09:31:27 AM »
I've seen similar posts on communication issues with the H0-ECOM100 and a DL-05 but I haven't seen a solution to this yet on the forum.  In my case, I'm using LabVIEW as my HMI and the DNET-UDP driver from the Host Engineering site to communicate with the DL-05.  I've done the same configuration with 205's and 405's in the past with good results but this is my first attempt with the DL-05.

I don't seem to have any issue with communicating to the PLC with Directsoft 5.  I am always able to view and edit the ladder on the PLC.

My issue is that once I establish communication between my HMI and the DL-05 everything works correctly for a while.  Then, randomly, I lose the communication link and can only re-establish it by power off the PLC and then removing and reseating the H0-ECOM100 card.  Sometimes this works and sometimes it doesn't.  After multiple attempts, the communication is re-established and all is well until I lose communications again.  This is a new installation.  It was just installed in November so I think both the PLC and ECOM card have the latest firmware.  Any ideas for a permanet fix to this issue?

Power cycling alone doesn't fix it? It must be removed and reseated?
