DS 5 Function
« on: April 29, 2020, 11:01:10 AM »
Hi,
So, if I want to know if stage 1 is active what element can I find or what do put in the data view window? Also, in Directsoft I can do a view\stage view. I can't seem to find a similar function in DMD.  Does it have one?
Thanks

In DmD if you look in the "Project Browser" tab and expand the program that contains your stages and "All Status" is on, the active stages will be highlighted. Also, in the DataView window you can type (for example) $Main.S0 if you wanted to see if S0 (stage 0) was on in the $Main program.

Turn on status in the project browser, and expand the program block you want to view stages for. You can also add them to a Data View or Trend View $Main.S0, $Main.S1, etc.

Also, Data View of just $Main will show you enabled stages in an intelligent list (vs. showing the state of all 128 stage bits).

If you give your Stage Bits good nicknames, and if you comment your SG Stage rungs, your Project Browser Stage level status is even MORE helpful.
