BX-Serio Module ASCII

Does the BX-Serio module support Modbus ASCII and generic ASCII (used with STREAMIN and STREAMOUT) or just Mobus ASCII?

It does not support Modbus ASCII natively, but yes, it does support STREAMIN/STREAMOUT, and the CHECKSUM instruction will do the CRC16 required for Modbus frames. The SERIO ports are essentially identical to the built-in port.

Here's an article w/video from Automation Direct's Community website showing how to do Modbus ASCII in Do-more.  It's easy to translate the "onboard" serial port to the SERIO module (Host designed it to make it very easy to move from port to port using "devices").
