SET - Set Coil

The Set Coil (SET) instruction turns ON the specified discrete memory location. Once the discrete memory location is SET ON, it will remain ON until it is turned OFF, typically via an Unlatch (RST) instruction. It is NOT necessary for the input logic to remain ON for the discrete memory location to remain ON.

Note - avoid referencing the same discrete memory locations with SET instruction that are referenced with OUT instructions.

Parameters:

Note: Use the F9 key (Element Browser) or Down-Arrow key (Auto-Complete) at any time to see a complete list of the memory locations that are valid in the current field of the instruction.

Element Reference - designates the discrete memory location to use. This can be any writable bit location.
