DL260 Manual I/O Configuration
« on: September 16, 2011, 08:29:01 AM »
I have not worked with a DL system in 12 years and I have forgotten how to set one these things up!
I have a D2-260 processor and two racks of I/O connected with D2-EM modules. Shouldn't I be able to
use the "PLC\Configure I/O" menu with the 260? It's greyed out!

You have to be online to configure I/O

Since it's been 12 years, if you don't have DirectSOFT Rel 5 for your 260 CPU, you may want to upgrade.  We added some cool features.  The DirectSOFT Rel 5 upgrade will upgrade ANY previous version (brick, 05, OEM, etc.) to a FULL package at the one upgrade price (upgrade price might $265? $295?)

Rel 5 introduced IBoxes (Intelligent Boxes) that simplify some existing capabilities like doing MATH using VB/Excel math expressions, or interfacing with the CTRIO module, or some cool ECOM100 IBoxes like sending EMAIL from your PLC ladder logic!
