Issue with BX32ND3
« on: May 29, 2025, 11:54:25 AM »
Issue Summary
Hardware:
?   CPU: Do-More BRX BX-DM1E-36ED13-D
?   Expansion Module: BX-32ND3 (32-point 24VDC sinking/sourcing input)
?   Accessories: ZipLink connector, reed switches used for inputs
Symptom:
When activating input X24 (on the expansion module), inputs X32, X40, and X48 also appear as ON in Data View but not on the LED indicators.
The same pattern occurs for other inputs:
?   Activating X25 causes X33, X41, and X49 to also activate
?   Activating X16 shows similar results with every 8th input turned ON
System Diagnostics:
?   The expansion module appears correctly in the System Dashboard
?   IO Mapping reflects accurate channel configuration
?   Issue replicates on a different PLC using the same module
?   Wiring:
o   ZipLink Common terminals 1?4 are tied to +24VDC
o   Inputs connected via reed switches
Any help will be greatly appreciated.
Thank you

Either it is crosstalk or you have a bad module or (unlikely) ziplink.   First thing I would do is try it without the reed switches.  As others have said, they are problematic with PLC inputs in general.
