Are you guys getting any kind of relief with parts availability? You mentioned a while back that you might have a contact at Intel that could help. Did that pan out at all?

It did not.

ADC helped us acquire a large stock of parts to build ECOMs and EBCs. Those should start flowing soon.

We think we have a good supply of parts coming for BRX CPUs, but we haven't yet gotten confirmation on those.

We think that this may start improving in Q4, but we'll see.

I was lucky enough to have both ahead a couple of projects while they were still in stock, plus had a project delayed, but now I've got none left so I need to know which way to jump; do I stall projects waiting for BRX or look elsewhere ?

We have parts to build most models through the end of '23. We still have a backlog, but are shipping decent numbers now, and are slowly eating the elephant. Additionally, we received word from the supplier of our most critical part (Intel-FPGAs), that those parts would be coming off allocation by the end of '23, and that they expect generally improving availability throughout the year.

So...we can build, are building, and expect to see more on the shelf throughout the year.

We were reluctant to do so given the unknowns, but are confident enough that the remaining shortages will be improving this year that we are taking the leap of faith. This will give us plenty of capacity to fill the backlog, and then concentrate on filling the shelves.

I just received my 5th notice just this year alone from ADC this morning telling me that my orders have been delayed yet again. I've got two projects on hold because of this and I am going to have to rethink where I'm heading from here. I absolutely love your products but it does me no good if I can't get my hands on them to use.

We expect significant numbers of CPUs to go out over the next month or so. It may still not be good enough for you, and I certainly understand, but things are finally moving in the right direction.

BobO, are certain CPUs taking precedence over others? I have a BX-DM1E-18ED23-D that's been on order since December 7, 2022. Its delivery has been pushed back at least three times to now May 9, 2023. I have another CPU, BX-DM1E-10ED23-D, ordered on January 18,2023 that's been pushed back once to March 28, 2023. Thanks!

No, but some CPUs have been subject to different part shortages. I'm not completely up on the status of each model, but I think we have parts to clear most of the current backlog, and with the new shift we are adding, we'll have the production bandwidth to get it done.

As I have mentioned before, the part shortages have made us reluctant to hire additional people, so even when we did get parts in, we were significantly constrained on production capacity to catch up. Now that the end of allocation has been announced for critical components, we are adding a shift, which will allow us to greatly increase the rate we are filling the backlog. Assuming no surprises, we would expect to have the majority of the customer backlog filled within 2 months. It'll take a bit longer to get ADC's shelves filled, but that should happen pretty quickly too.

As with every comment on this I make, things are subject to change at a moment's notice. I do my best to be accurate and forthright, but circumstances have made me a liar are on more than one occasion. I assure you it isn't intentional.
