Low Battery Warning on BRX

I've got a BX-DM1E-M in an unconditioned enclosure outside. Last night, ambient temperatures got close to 0 deg C and I suspect the temperature inside of the enclosure was slightly warmer. At some point, Warning ST149 was thrown. I was able to reset this warning when I came in this morning. I suspect the warning is related to colder ambient temperature. The unit was delivered in the March timeframe and installed two weeks ago. Is it possible the battery is just bad or have there been any reports of low battery associated with temperature? Is there a built-in way to monitor the voltage/temperature to determine if they're correlated?

There is no way in system to know the battery voltage.  The BRX PLC reports this error when a voltage comparator sees the battery below a 2.0VDC threshold where retentive memory is in jeopardy for power downs longer than the super cap holdup period.  You could pull the battery from even a powered ON system and check it with a voltage meter.  If it checks good, then the issue could be related to reliable contact between the battery, its positive side holder and the 3 PWB pads to which the battery negative side connects.  Gently cleaning the holder slot and battery of any debris or deposits could help this.
