Connecting 2 Brx by wifi
« on: August 31, 2022, 11:46:58 AM »
Some years ago I connected two moving machines in a greenhouse with DL205s by using a Linksysy Wifi Router and a Linksys Bridge.  I want to do the same again and wondering what would be good choices for each today?

I am replacing a DL205 and a custom long obsolete computer board with 2 BRX plcs and a C-More and the C-more phone app to give the custom remote access to the two machines that move all over the greenhouse autonomously.

I haven't used them myself, but a lot of people seem to like Ubiquiti, enough so that they're almost....well....  ;)

Another option would be no-protocol radio modems.   GridConnect used to make one I really liked, but there are plenty of others.
I retract my earlier statement that half of all politicians are crooks.  Half of all politicians are NOT crooks.  There.

I need the Wifi so that cell phones can connect.  Low security system, machines can't be crashed by the user.  I'll look at the Ubiquity products.

Thanks
