DEBOUNCE
« on: October 19, 2018, 12:57:50 PM »
I can not get a label to appear for Debounce. I am using for example, C9-SSR Shorted. I want the label SSR Shorted so someone knows what the DEBOUNCE is for.  Filling in Nick Name, Extra Info and Description in the editor did not help. Can that feature be added.?

Make sure you have Nicknames turned ON for your Ladder View.

Right Click on the Ladder View and select Options...
What are all your settings for Documentation:
Elements/Nicknames/Extra Info/Descriptions/Comments?

i am at home and it seems to work. i will check when I get to work.
Yes, all are checked. I am not understanding the two check boxes. It says if both element and nicknames are checked when entering instructions Editor set fields to a: show element text, b:prefer nickname over element. Well, show element text is checked and nickname is appearing in the DEBOUNCE Box. Doesn't seem to matter which choice i make, the nickname appears unless I uncheck nickname in the above boxes.

At work and it is working. But checking either "Show element text" or "Prefer Nickname over Element" makes no difference to what shows up in the DEBOUNCE Box. The nickname always appears. Only way is to unclick Nicknames in the above boxes.

The "preference" is the option when going into the instruction editor, not the display.  The check boxes are the display options.  So when you edit the debounce instruction, the radio button "preference" option dictates whether element or its nickname shows up in the edit fields.
