DMD "encountered an improper argument"
« on: February 12, 2013, 08:02:13 AM »
When I was editing this morning, I found that whenever I would hover my mouse over a certain instruction, that a popup window would come up with the "encountered an improper argument" message, I tried it several times and it consistently would display. After pressing F8 to accept the rungs, the message stopped showing up.
BTW the instruction was a MOVER.

Just passing on the info.

I also had an issue this morning whenever I first connected to the plc with my computer, I was getting a PLC error/warning on the bottom of the screen, and when I clicked it this is the message that was displaying: 192.168.1.169  Port 29298(0x7272),02/12/13 04:34:12.132 ,"A comm client attempted to read a data address that was out of range. Zero data was returned."

I thought it was the result of a change I had made to the CMore, but after unplugging network cables, I discovered that it was DMD that was causing the error. I pressed the "No status" button and the error ceased, I pressed the "All status" and I can't get the error to come back.

Neither of these are an issue for me, I'm just passing on the info for your development team.
Circumstances don't determine who we are, they only reveal it.

MOVER display has some issues related to the range parameter definition, which could affect the XRef tooltip.  We will look at it.
