Announcing Do-more Designer 2.8 and 8 new BRX Expansion/POM Modules

Version 2.8 Do-more Designer is now available.

Version 2.8 contains the following new features, including support for the latest BRX I/O and Specialty modules, along with an enhanced Ethernet POM.  View the Updates.pdf file for complete details about all the new features available for Do-more PLCs in 2.8.  See an overview of 2.8 in this video https://youtu.be/pmLH2CHxBEw.

• New BRX POM:
  
  • BX-P-ECOMEX provides a 2ndary Ethernet Port to BRX MPUs with an existing port, providing Client capabilities like Ethernet I/O Master, EMAIL, Modbus, HTTPCMD, MQTT, EtherNet/IP, FTP, et. al.  With 2 Ethernet Ports, you can distribute your Clients between the 2 subnets.  In addition to these Client capabilities, it supports the Server capabilities of a BX-P-ECOMLT.
• New BRX Specialty High Speed I/O Module:
  
  • BX-HSIO4 Similar to existing BX-HSIO1/2 but with higher Input and Output Frequencies of up to 2 MHz Differential or Single-Ended TTL, with Nominal Voltage Rating of 5VDC.
• New BRX Expansion I/O Modules:
  
  • BX-16NF3 BRX 16 point TTL Input, Sinking/Sourcing, @2-5 VDC
  • BX-16TF2 BRX 16 point TTL Output, Sourcing, 20 mA @2-5 VDC
  • BX-16CF3F2 BRX 16 point TTL Combo, 8 pt. Input Sinking/Sourcing, 8 pt. Output Sourcing
  • BX-08TRZ BRX 8 point Relay Output, Dry Contacts
  • BX-16TRZ BRX 16 point Relay Output, Dry Contacts
  • BX-05TRS-1 BRX 5 point High Current Relay Output, Form C, 8A @12-48 VDC, 24-240 VAC, or 0.5A @100-125 VDC
• EtherNet/IP Adapter w/Implicit Messaging
• HTTP Web Server and REST API
• FTP Client
• Server Whitelist Support
• Table Based String Script Editor for STRPRINT, EMAIL, and DMLOGGER
• Master Relay type Ladder Rungs (eliminates "AND ABOVE JOIN" issue)
  
• Memory View - added support for Structure data blocks, READONLY.
• New Instructions:
  
  • FTPGET - Retrieve File FROM Remote and FTPPUT - Store File TO Remote GET(read from) and PUT(write to) files between a remote FTP Server and the PLC's File System.
  • SGSETI - Indexed Enable Stage and SGRSTI - Indexed Disable Stage Similar to JMPI, Enable or Disable another Stage indirectly via a variable index of a range of Stages.
  • DMLOGGER - Broadcast String to DmLogger.exe String Script commands, secondary Ethernet Port selection.
  • HWCONFIG - Configure Hardware Manipulate I/O Configuration settings at runtime.
  • TESTNUM - Classify Numeric Value Types Sets Value Type to one of five possible "types" based on the real/integer Input Value.
