It'd be nice when writing a program to a CPU if there was some kind of indication that the OS, gate array, and/or booter was out of date and needed to be updated. I've run into a few occasions when loading a program to a CPU where my program attempted to make use of instructions newer than the firmware in the PLC supported. Easy enough to update the PLC firmware, but I've spent a few hours banging my head against the wall before I thought to check firmware...

Both the dashboard and sysinfo dialog indicate firmware being out of date. DmD should also be checking for the required firmware when you use new features. If you can tell us what isn't being caught that would be helpful.

Whenever you edit a new instruction offline, it warns you that the instruction requires a specific Dm Technology version.

When online, Program Check will report an error whenever you have an instruction or feature that is not supportrd by the PLC's firmware.

We can be more proactive and report those issues as soon as you connect.
