Direct Soft 6 programming
« on: July 29, 2015, 03:57:27 PM »
Hello!

Some brief information: I am working with a DL205 and a DL250-1 CPU with an ECOM100 Module. My project requires for me to read a register number of 40063 then write to a DCS. The register is a 16 bit register and utilizes bits 0-10. How do I set bit 0-10 in the program? I am having difficulty trying to solve this problem. If you need any more information please let me know

I do not know how far you have made it on this project, but there are a few things that you will have to do.

1) Set up your IP addresses for your connected devices in the Peer-to-Peer table.
This can be done using NetEdit found in the DS6 launcher under utilities.
Look under the 'ECOM Settings' tab at the bottom.

2) Insert a ECOM100 Ibox at the very top of your ladder program.

3) Insert a ECRX Ibox in your ladder program, and set it to read from V76 (This address is derived using this spreadsheet from AD).

4) Post back here with any more questions and include either a zipped version of your file, or screenshots of what you've done.

Circumstances don't determine who we are, they only reveal it.
