Trying to calculate RPM! Help!! (counter with input & 1second reset??

I have tried numerous ways to read RPM. Could any of you give me some ideas?

When the 1 second time occurs - before the counter instruction use the current accumulator with appropriate calculations to derive and save RPM. Then the counter can be reset.
