How can i search the output of either a "Y" or "c" rather then searching all of them.

I just need the associated outputs.

Cheers

This is a hole in the SEARCH facility.

You can use the XRef View to get the same info (but obviously not as intuitive).

Page through the XRef View until you find the desired Y output (e.g. Y7).  Then look down the list of instructions of where it is used in the Instruction column, and look for OUT (or SET or RST or ...).  Double clicking on THAT instruction cell in the XRef table will take you to that point in the ladder program.

We are looking to greatly enhance this SEARCH functionality in Rel 6.  Sorry about the missing (and highly needed) functionality.   Sad

navair67,

I'm going to make some assumptions, You are using DS5 and you don't have a Xref window open. If you have a Xref window open you can click (double?) on the coil symbol and the ladder view will change to where the coil is. There is a user unfriendly feature (bug?) where the Xref view doesn't go to the address you want untill you cursor to the desired address so you will have to cursor over then back to get the Xref window to display the cursor address. Then as I said before just click on the coil symbol and the ladder view will display the coil you clicked on .
