PULSE COUNT IN RUN TO POSITION MODE
« on: October 03, 2009, 10:07:39 AM »
How can I find the actual output pulse count to a stepping motor when using Run to Position mode where position is established by quad counter from a linear encoder.

Hmmm...

Run to position is actually a sub mode of velocity, so the actual pulse count isn't maintained. I'd say the best way to do it would be to feed the pulses into a spare counting channel, if you have one. I know that isn't a great answer, but that may be the best we can do.
