Can a BRX PLC talk to a C-More HMI via Ethernet, and at the same time talk to an ATV320 VFD via rs485?

2. Altivar 320 VFD gives several options for comms (modbus RTU,   Profibus,  CAN-open, Device-Net). Which of these is easiest to work and program with?

Most definitely.  I think Modbus RTU is the only feasible option out of those listed.  It's not hard, just takes a bit of digging in the manual to find all the corresponding bits/words to read and write in the VFD to make it do what you want.

Thanks for the info.

Could someone paste a rung of code that will write to parameter 534 (RPI) which is PID Ref). See Attachment. Using RS485.
If I could see how one rung works, I could probably figure out the rest.

Those don't look like your the Modbus addresses.

Here's some rungs I use to communicate with several ABB drives, hence the pointers to do it all via one set of rungs.
