Gonna be rough 37.5 hr week, no 1 to 7 week 16 hr a day field work trips all over the US. No room rental at the office every week, no 35,000 mile of driving every year.  I hope I can adjust at my age.

Do they pull numbers out of their ear on jobs they don't have a plan for, then hold you responsible for the budget?  If not, I bet you're going to miss that.

At the job prior to the one I lost I was lucky to work with a salesman that came in my office for my review Before bidding and then gave me a spreadsheet of cost estimates for the whole job. Then they had me work with the owner that never asked before bidding, never gave me any budget numbers and would constantly tell me ?I didn?t figure for that? so of course no money for stuff we had to have.  Big reason why I left.

This last job the company is always ?going to turn the corner this year?, hasn?t broken even, nor made a profit on any job and has burned thru 2 million in cash.  My friends still working there tell me my leaving has really hurt them. I was chief indian and the tribe is the fagowi indians, as in where the fagowi?

Finished my first week. They can really use me. One guy has PLC experience, having programmed two Clicks to operate some valves on a timer! One machine has a CNC controller that uses G-code, and I am a G-code programmer too. Discussed a simple motion program today and I pointed out a BRX would be perfect for this. Bye bye Click, hello BRX!
