if i have a working program and i want to use some of it in a new one so i delete most of that program  and i want to get rid of old nicknames and other documentation but keep the ip setup how who would i do that?

So you're saying got want to copy logic only?  I think I'd cut and paste the rungs into a new program.

Or if it's a codeblock you intend to use over and over again, make it into a subroutine.
