H2CTRIO2 Set Up and Over Travel
« on: August 23, 2016, 10:52:21 AM »
I am using Do-More to control a stepper motor. The stepper drive is configured for 36000 steps per revolution. I can configure the module and run a CTAXLIMIT as a home routine and then zero the position. When I try to run a CTAXTRAP with 36000 pulses, the stepper moves more than one revolution. One revolution should be 1" of travel and I am getting 1.066".
Have I missed a step in the setup? I tried a different drive and got the same result.

Thanks,
Mike Vetrano

I'll admit I am wild guessing here...

It may depend on your reset when homing as there are quite a few options about when and how to reset. I had to do two separate moves recently based on whether I was already making my home limit switch or not. After that I got nice repeatable results.

If you can move another inch in the same direction does it also overfeed? If it doesn't, I would suspect the home reset is suspect.
