H2-CTRIO - No Velocity Value
« on: November 23, 2014, 07:50:27 PM »
Using CTDYNVEL with H2-CTRIO module. I get the pulse train, but the instruction or the structure in a watch window doesn't display the Velocity when its running. Output Active Comes on. Success bit is ON when not running, OFF when running.  I have 1 Pulse Profile set up running Dynamic Velocity. This is on an H2-DM1E

Do-more 1.3.0
OS 1.3.2
boot 3.06

Looking at the Help topic for CTDYNVEL DMD0517.  It states that the .OutputVelocity member is not available for the original CTRIO module, just CTRIO2.  It will be 0 for CTRIO.  See the attached screen shot.

Those Footnotes get me every time. I guess it would be too much trouble to grey those out or put N/A in those fields?

No, it could be done. The vast majority of DmD doesn't know the difference between the two modules, by design, since the CTRIO2 was designed to be a drop in replacement. It can be known without too much effort, and would help those that used the monitor utility.

If it was greyed out, I would have looked more closely at the help file.
