My H0ECOM100 firmware

I have other ECOM100 wich is running ok, sending mails from Gmail account.

What's is wrong?

LAST ADDED:
Error 535 5.7.8 Error: authentication failed: another step is needed in authentication
This error is caused by your SMTP server - it uses different type of authentication method.
By default plain method is used in our application.

But Use authentication is checked!!!!

It may be that your email server is wanting AUTH LOGIN type authentication instead of just AUTH PLAIN. If I'm not mistaken, I'm pretty sure the ECOM100 only does AUTH PLAIN. I noticed that your trace shows, "another step is needed in authentication" which seems to support what I'm saying since AUTH LOGIN needs extra steps for authentication.

So you need to check with your email server provider as to which type of authentication method they are expecting.

The ECOM100 was really designed to send email to an email server on its own local network. (Refer to ECOM FAQ0100 -->  http://hosteng.com/FAQFiles/ECOM.htm#FAQ0100).
There are two types of people in the world; those that can extrapolate from incomplete data sets.

Thanks for your help.
After read FAQ0100 I undertood my mistake.
I needed a local SMTP server. I can't believe that H0-ECOM100 cant send external emails.

I found this hMailServer because SMTP server is not installed by default on IIS 7 (windows 7)

It's free and excellent to make tests.

Thanks a lot!!!

I don't think that the ECOM100 is limited from sending something through an external server, but that publicly accessible servers generally have greater security requirements. Ideally we would be using one of the newer encryption mechanisms, but the software requirements are a bit beyond what we can do on that hardware without redesigning it. Unfortunately, the Internet is a bit of a moving target...and what works when products are developed and certified may not work a year or two later.
