Do-More to C-More by ethernet
« on: March 26, 2013, 02:21:03 PM »
Hi All,

I want to connect my C-More 12" panel to my Do-More processor via the built-in ethernet port on each, using the Do-More driver in the C-More panel.

Seems pretty basic, but I cannot find the method for this anywhere.  Additionally, I cannot seem to figure out how to set the IP address of the Do-More, which may be the entire problem.

Thanks,

TM

Okay, I found the IP address, but setting it did not help.

Perhaps I need a straight cable instead of a path cable, or a router sitting between them?

You need to create a new Device in the Panel Manager of the C-more Programming software that will point to the DoMore's ethernet IP address. Make sure the devices are on the same subnet, etc. If your programming PC can talk to both, then you should be fine.

Also, you need to be using version 2.76 or greater of the C-more software as the DoMore driver was only recently added to the programming software. Your panel should take the 2.76 firmware on the first project transfer. After that, you should be able to reference the DoMore memory locations by creating tags in the HMI that reference the newly created device.
