BRX comms issue
« on: September 02, 2018, 02:30:00 PM »
I have an application where I communicate to 3 drives using the built in Port using modbus. I also use a rs232 POM module to talk to a wireless radio for remote control. The Brix is the master on both ports. What I noticed is if there is a comm error to the drives it creates a time delay on the other port too. This was something I hadn't figured on. I realise there a lot of ways to solve this but was wondering why this is. Or maybe I'm overlooking something.

Well this is embarrassing. It works as expected now. On one for the comms to the drives I had selected the POM instead of the builtin port.

Glad it's working!
