Selecting I/O Modules for DL205 Base

I am unable to select a D2-12TR output module in Dashboard as well as in the System Configuration tab.
When I select D2-12TR from the list, I get a 16DO module with I/O mapping of Y0-Y15 for the first module and Y16-Y31 for the second.
Is there a work around for this?

The 12TR utilizes 16 points of IO even though only the first 12 are actually used by the module.  It all has to do with Word boundries and the backplane.  What you are seeing is correct.

OK, so I assume that for the first module I only have Y0-Y11 available, and for the second module Y16-Y27?

No, actually the first six points are the first six bits of the low byte, and the second six the first six bits on the high byte, so Y0-Y5 and Y10-Y15 or whatever, depending on the starting address for the module.  205 modules can only start on word boundaries (16n), I think.  I can't remember if you populate with 8-point modules, say, if the module starting addresses can be on byte boundaries (8n).
