How to program/setup BRX High Speed input as a rate
« on: November 08, 2017, 12:19:54 PM »
Has anyone programmed a BRX high speed input like a rate in CTRIO? I see a counter function and timing but nothing like the rate in CTRIO setup. I suppose you could program something to provide say RPM from a encoder, wondering if anyone has done that yet.

Rate is a scale function, just like in CTRIO/2. For fast inputs, use a counter with a Rate Scale. For slow inputs, use a timer with an Interval Scale.

Rate Scale, Interval Scale, are these Do-More instructions for the BRX? or are you just referencing the CTRIO/2 setup?

No. They are part of the high speed timer/counter configuration. Look on the right side of the config pages for each.

It's all good! They are disabled by default. Easy to gloss over the clutter.
