I'm working on a rewrite of a product that utilizes a 15" C-More, a 260 CPU, and three H2-ECOM100s. I'm using three ECOMs to alleviate network congestion with the limitations imposed on the ECOM by the 260 about how many reads/writes can be processed each scan.
As part of this rewrite I'm doing a better job of laying out my C-More screens so that memory locations used between the screen and the PLC are continuous as I understand now just how important it is to get as much data in each read as possible therefore minimizing the number of reads required.
In going through all this it occurred to me to ask the following question: Which is faster for C-More to ECOM communications, ECOM Ethernet or Modbus Ethernet?
