Will we live to see it?  ;D

I do a lot of programming with the d06's and really miss the splitting up of program sections etc.
Also I've had a fair number of times that the documentation messed up and was lost completely.

2 things that will be addressed in the next version from what I understand.

One thing to avoid is to use file names with a period ('.') in it. I use the o now for progam_name_v2o0 (instead of progam_name_v2.0).

They are little things, but I really notice it when I program a s7-200 with microwin or an omron with cx-one for example.

Directsoft 5 always feels like going a step back in time.

Our next generation controller and programming software is currently beginning the launch process. It answers your concerns plus many, many more.

How much of that technology that is eventually retrofit back into DirectSoft and released as version 6 remains to be be seen, mostly driven by a desire to invest our resources where they can best serve the most customers. We will likely do so, and that has been the plan for quite some time, the question is simply what features and when.
