Title: Minimum pulse width?
Post by: ATU on August 25, 2010, 02:27:06 PM
I need a filter for the counter input. I see you have a minimum pulse width parameter for the pulse catcher, but not for the count input. Sure would be nice to have something like that on single ended count inputs. Any chance the new hardware version will have that capability?

I do something like that, using the HS counter on the DL06 for the tally. I filter out short signals and trip alarm on long signals this way:

Short Filter: Count signal goes high --> CTRIO input 1, edge timer: if preset 1 is exceeded, pulse output 1 --> DL06 HS count input X0 (COULD BE COUNTER ON CTRIO?)

Long Alarm: Count signal goes high --> CTRIO input 1, edge timer: if preset 2 is exceeded, output 2 --> DL06 HS interrupt input X1

Not for the CTRIO2. We have kicked around the idea of doing programmable digital filtering in a future yet-to-be-named module.
