Looking for some upper level guidance as to the different approaches to exchanging data between a DoMore PLC and a ERP
My understanding is there are two approaches:
First- Have the ERP Application (Sage X3) use the DoMore Published APIs to exchange data
Second - Use the DoMore HTML instructions to use the Sage X3 published APIs to exchange data.
As the PLC programmer who developed the PLC program I look at it as two approaches. The first is I push all the work to the ERP, in this case Sage X3, to use the DOMore Published APIs. The second is I use the APIs published by Sage X3 to do all the work via the HTML instructions in the DoMore.
Are those two approaches available and do my explanations put me on the right track?

Which Do-more PLC? BRX? 205?
You don't elaborate on the Sage X3 API. Do YOU understand it (not necessarily to write code off the top of your head, but does it makes sense to you).

Another consideration is that you cannot write to the PLC through the API, but with HTTPCMD you could. If writing isn't required, then it's just what you are most comfortable with.

205 DoMore ....at this point I haven't even looked at the Sage X3 API...I was just looking to validate that I correctly understood the 2 approaches...

Yes, I need to write data from the 205 to Sage X3 and I need to receive some data back from Sage X3 so sounds like my approach # 2 is the way to go.
